Homework

•There will be no weekly homework packets going home this year. Our students will work very hard everyday.  We do not feel like they need to spend their evenings doing homework packets.

•If a student does not finish their work in class, that will be sent home as homework. 

•If a student has a need for extra practice, study packets will be sent home.

•Occasionally projects will be sent home.  These are meant to be fun and to add to what they are learning in class. Notes will be sent home outlining these projects.

•Nightly homework:

•Students should  read for 30 minutes each night

•Students should to practice their math facts each night.

•Students should study their spelling words each night

•

•If you are looking for extra practice:

•There is a list of great computer games listed on the blog that can give them extra practice.

•Have them keep a journal.  Check it for spelling and complete sentences. They can write about their day or what they are reading.

•There is also lots of activates on the spelling page of the blog to use for spelling practice.
